Building Comunity

Story Tapestries addresses vital community issues for millions of people of all ages and abilities using collaboration and  the arts, in all forms, to create and deliver tailored, accessible programs. Our expertise in communication and relationship building makes us a valuable resource and partner across all sectors of the community. From performances that build cultural capital to intergenerational workshops to custom-designed experiences that bring history to life, our expert teaching artists support groups of people to find points of connection.

In addition to partnering with government entities, such as supporting the development of the Fairland Briggs Chaney Master Plan with the Montgomery Planning office, we collaborate with 50+ organizations in all sectors, including Montgomery County Public Schools, Montgomery County Coalition for the Homeless, Latin American Youth Center, Children’s Opportunity Alliance, KID Museum, The Universities at Shady Grove and WorkSource Montgomery, to name a few.

Amplify US!

Story Tapestries presents performances by professional and community artists addressing the racial crisis sparked by recent deaths of Breonna Taylor, George Floyd and Ahmaud Arbery at the hands of police brutality, amid a global pandemic.
